when I sat down to look back on this past year's work, I was overwhelmed. overwhelmed by the sheer number of people I had the joy to work with -- the families, the babies, the couples, the seniors. every year, I am reminded of the beautiful stories to be told and feel so honored to be a part of them in a small way.
thank you to each and every one of you who stepped in front of my camera and trusted me. you make my days better.
alissa and zack were married at the most beautiful vineyard owned by zack's family. the day (and house) was full of dear family and friends and sweet, precious love. it was such a joy to watch these two be married.
dance parties and babies and details and big laughs and seniors and veils and long walks and quiet moments and brides and engagements and light and greenery and teary-eyed friends and dear families made for a fantastic 2015.
what a great afternoon wedding with heather & kenny! these two are so laid back and wanted to make sure everyone around them was enjoying themselves and having FUN. so, appropriately, their wedding included yard games, root beer floats, coloring books, and even a game of home run derby! plus, who doesn't want a ping pong ball exit?
allie is the coolest. a gymnast turned golfer! and now she's going to be a senior. I had such a great time with allie in downtown grand rapids.
I've known claire for a few years now, and man was I excited to do her senior session! how could you not love this girl with a killer smile, big laughs, and such a sweet spirit?
claire, I wish I was as cool as you.
I make no apologies for this gigantic blog post, because carrie & brett are the best. every moment of the day was beautiful and thoughtful. a simple morning, an adorable first look, a great ceremony, a hysterical trolley ride, and a dance party that topped most dance parties.
cheers, carrie & brett! you throw one heck of a wedding.
every time I think I've had the opportunity to shoot the best wedding ever, another one comes along that knocks it out of the park. sarah & brad's wedding at frederik meijer gardens and sculpture park was one wedding that proved me wrong yet again. these two picked a perfect saturday, a perfect venue, and perfect friends and family to celebrate their beautiful day with. and honestly, sarah's bouquet? perfect.
